Party platter

1. NeoBaroque dinner plate, West Elm, $32
2. Flights and Fancy dinnerware, Anthropologie, $12
3. Ladies in Waiting dinner plates, Anthropologie, $24
4. Kaleidoscope plate, Jonathan Adler, $8
5. Painters melamine collection, West Elm, $20
6. Appetizer plate, Crate & Barrel, $3

After registering for wedding gifts, I went a little crazy adding serving pieces, plates, glasses, and trays, all with the intention of entertaining constantly. Now that the weather is sunnier and my place is on the verge of being completely party ready, I've been searching endlessly through Spring inspired table decor with dinner parties in mind. While round white plates are a clean choice and always useful, sometimes a warm weather dinner looks even better on a watercolor plate or embellished edge platter. The bright colors and alternating patterns fit perfectly with everyday pieces and add that special touch to a weekend get-together.

  3. I looove the floral plate! I actually love all of these except for number 4 because it looks like a drawing made by a computer, too "clean" and without character, but that's just me :D

  5. I'd always go for the classic white for a formal event, but for every day I love to have no. 2 and 5 - so happy/pretty! :)
