A colorful tea
(Clockwise from upper right) Kate Spade "From Me to You" notecards, Jasper Conran teacups, MarieBelle Royal English Breakfast tea, Breakfast, Lunch, Tea cookbook from Rose Bakery, Oscar de la Renta heels, J.Crew cropped silk pants, Topshop peplum top, See by Chloe pink bow belt
One of my favorite little luxuries in life is to indulge in a traditional tea time. Every year, around the holidays, my mom and I get tea somewhere around Los Angeles to commemorate the year and spend time together. We've tested a number of different places, but always seem to fall for the ones that take the extra step to provide something indulgent, tasty, and classic (tea at the Peninsula Hotel being a personal favorite). The act of serving tea is something I would love to carry on at home throughout the year since going out isn't always an option. I've found a few simple ways to bring that luxurious feeling home, whether it is through a polished outfit, special tea, or going the extra step to mail notes inviting your guests for the afternoon.

ReplyDeleteI love this! I have a little addiction to teacups. I buy them all the time because I just think they are charming and fun to drink out of (even if I'm not sipping on tea). Those above are so much fun! :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun tradition for you and your mom to share. Loving the tea cups you featured. I have a small (only two) collection of fortune telling tea cups that I just love.
ReplyDeleteA great tradition! I like the peplum top you chose for this outfit, I've got a couple of dresses in this style but this is very cute and super feminine. What else for afternoon tea for the girls :-)
