Happy 4th!

This year, I'm taking the 4th of July easy. A trip to a local parade, early morning doughnuts, and a low key BBQ in the afternoon. With only a little break in the middle of the week rather than a long weekend, I'm going to savor the day by partaking in every leisurely activity I can think of. I've shared a few of my favorite sparkling 4th of July inspired posts in case some of you need a bit of holiday inspiration to get the day going.

A patriotic ice cream party I shared with the lovely Jigsaw London team yesterday

Setting up the perfect BBQ table complete with checkered table cloth

Use up that sweet corn with this refreshing salad

Sparkler inspired cocktail picks to add a dash of glitter to a drink

Get your hair ready for the hot weather outside with a summer scarf

Channel a classic pinup with this ruffled and stripped bikini

Top it all off with a refreshing raspberry lemon tart sure to be a highlight at any party

What is everyone else planning on doing to celebrate? Hope you all have a fun and save holiday!

  1. We are also having a low-key day. BBQ in the afternoon, kids swimming and maybe a few sparklers in the evening. My husband is on-call for work, so we need to keep it close to home and not crazy. Although, we would have done this anyway!
