This weekend I longed for grey rainy days so I had a legitimate excuse to stay in and watch movies. Although there were patches of sunshine, my dream of rain-filled days was partially realized by scattered drops and I managed to squeeze in a leisurely cup of tea and a few sweaters. Over the summer I talked about the perfect summer weekend look, but now that the season is changing and sandals are turning into boots, tanks into long sleeves, and baby-soft manicures into vampy hues I found myself concocting an easy weekend look that only hints at last season's wears. Although the cold begs for recluse tendencies, I still want to enjoy the crisp weather outside without looking frumpy. Eye-catching boots, pristine skin, and glossy blood nails make great accents to a canvas of everyday jeans and a staple sweater. Throw in slightly bed tussled hair (perhaps created from a day under a hat) and wind blushed cheeks to complete an effortlessly striking look.

Oh, this looks like a really cozy outfit, that sweater is really cute.
ReplyDeleteI am LOVING that sweater!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The sweater is a great take on the slouchy boyfriend-style as of late! But what I really love are the accessories--oxblood nail polish, oversized sunnies, biker boots. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteWhat program do you use for your collages?

Love how you've played up the accessories to go with the fall basics. Those sunglasses are awesome!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Cheryl the nail polish is great and will pop with the cream colored sweater and gray jeans.
