The other day I was getting ready for work, running over the things I needed to do for the week and posts I wanted to set up when I looked up and stared stunned in the mirror mouthing "I forgot my blog birthday." It may sound like a simple (read odd) thing to be so sad about missing a birthday for an inanimate object, but to me this blog is far from a few words on the computer. Late hours, weekend sessions, and back-end breakdowns go into the making of each post and design of Stay in the Lines stay consistent and interesting. There are those days when I wonder why I'm spending so much time on something that feels like it has little return and if it's worth it to keep typing, but when I look back on the people I've met, collaborations I've been a part of, and events I've attended, I couldn't imagine walking away. This is the third year of my blog (well actually September marked the third year and I am really just a bad blog mother) and I feel like I've began to make headway on the things I had set out to accomplish this year. I still have a few more months to finish all of them, but at this third year mark I have a clearer vision of what this blog and future brands will look like as well as an excitement to find new connections, creative outlets, and inspirations. It's a birthday I am happy to celebrate and proud to share with everyone. Thank you to everyone who has followed along since the beginning and those who are new faces, I truly love hearing from you and discovering the work of other amazing bloggers out there.
