Inspired by with Heather

Photo by Heather of HMN Photography
Lately, this dreary winter weather has me dreaming of sandy beaches, perfectly pink pedicured toes and cocktails with tiny umbrellas in them. I'm almost positive that Seattle sees more sunshine on average then we do here in Michigan and I'm seriously considering the purchase of a sun lamp to keep these winter blues at bay.

My own personal spring fever usually starts right around this time of the year while I risk frostbite to wear ballet flats and run out for errands in jackets that aren't quite warm enough. This is my way of ushering in spring, even if it is a month too early. I can't wait for those first hints when the sun warms you, the flowers start to peek out of the ground and the world begins to grow green again. There's just something about this time of the year that feels fresh and youthful. I was thinking of fun spring wardrobe ideas and my thoughts immediately turned to floral patterns and the Prabal Gurung for Target collection - there's just something about these fun, flirty patterns that make me think of plentiful sunshine, first dates, and walks in the park. I've collected a few other floral finds for you as well, so take a look!

  1. I am obsessed with floral prints right now, probably because like you I cannot wait for spring to finally arrive!

  2. Heather, this Michigan girl also feels your need for sunshine and color. I'm loving the painterly look of that dress. I might have to add that to my collection.

  3. I've started risking frostbite to change up my footwear too ;)

  5. Glad I am not alone in the wearing of ballet flats and light jackets which are just not practical for right now. I NEED SPRING!
