During elementary school the Valentine's card swap was always my favorite day. Wrapping up a shoe box with heart-themed paper with a slot at the top, folding the proper amount of little printed cards with a chalk heart candy seal, then dropping the sweet message into each classmates box couldn't be more thrilling during my pre-teen life. While I still stare longingly at the boxes of valentines lining the shelves at the grocery store, I've realized that growing up means grown-up cards. Mailing the real thing cannot be beat, but when time is tight and an email is all you know will make it out, I've turned to Paperless Post for my e-snail-mail needs. I've used this amazing source for several parties and announcements, but the Valentine's Day selection was just too sweet to pass up. Cards ranging from cute, to friendly, to funny, to scandalous left me scrolling through the options for far too long. In the end I went for a graphically bold text option with a lighthearted message. The best part of the Paperless Post service is that the customized card arrives in your in-box just like the real thing would arrive at your front door. The lined envelope flips to pull out a pristine card, then swings around to reveal the message, a small flourish that makes the valentine feel all the more real. While a chalk heart doesn't come taped to the top, the sweet gesture feels perfectly loving for modern day.

Very cute idea!
